    Description

    Rare vintage 1950's LEFTON Mermaids or Merbabies set of 2 ceramic wall plaques
    Plaques with the original 3 bubbles, all including the bubbles having the red Japan stickers on their backs.
    Adorably detailed figurines with excellent glaze colors, one has dark brown hair while the other one's hair is blonde. The mermaid have matte finish glaze on the skin tones while the fish parts are decorated with a beautiful glossy teal green glaze.
    The 3 bubbles come in 3 different sizes but they all have a similar tone of white glossy glaze and slight crazing.
    There are no chips, no cracks and no broken parts or repairs. Small glaze crazing is present on the bubbles which is comes with the aging.
    The Lefton mark KW 60153 on the back of the mermaids comes apparently from a Japanese company own by Kowa Toki that made products for Lefton back then.
    All pieces are in excellent vintage condition for their age and the only thing to mention would be a couple of very small paint loss spots on the back of the head of the dark haired mermaid, but those don't show at all when displayed.  Please check all the photos for complete details.
    The mermaids are around 5 in tall and 3 in wide and 1.5 in deep.
    The bubbles measure 1" ,  1 1/4" and 1 3/4" in diameter
